Cannon School's girls' swimming team was fourth at the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 3A swim meet on Monday in Greensboro.
Three SouthLake Christian wrestlers claimed individual state titles at last weekend's N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association tournament.
North Mecklenburg's Sabrina Moore won the girls' long jump and 55-meter dash to lead the area at Saturday's indoor track championships.
Moore's Vikings were ninth at the 4A state meet. Lake Norman was 23rd.
On the boys' side, I-Meck schools Hopewell, North Meck and Vance tied for 20th place.
In the 1A/2A/3A meet, North Lincoln's boys were state runners-up. They were led by Andrew Fea and Joshua Mosteller, who finished first and second, respectively, in the 1,600 meters. On the girls' side, North Lincoln was eighth.
Sophomore Emily Allen set four North Carolina records on her way to leading Hough's girls to a second straight 4A swimming title.
Allen won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle titles and helped the 200- and 400-free relays also claim championships. Jessica Merritt (200 free) also won an individual state title for the Huskies.
On the boys' side, Jack Manchester won the 100 backstroke and 200 free state titles while also helping the 200-free relay finish second behind Green Hope, which finished 69 points ahead of second-place Hough to claim the 4A boys' title.
Lake Norman, behind freshman Brody Heck's fourth-place finish in the 100 free, finished 10th on the boys' side. The Lady Wildcats were 19th.

Hough's Harrison Mitchell barely missed repeating as 4A state diving champion at Wednesday's 4A state diving meet in Raleigh.
The junior finished as state runner-up by 1.83 points.
On the girls' side, the Huskies' Karly Adams, a sophomore, finished third. Hough's Katelyn Abernathy and Morgan Donnelly finish fifth and eighth, respectively.
The 4A state swim meet takes place today at Cary's Triangle Aquatic Center.
The 1A/2A dive meet will be held on Friday, while the 1A/2A swimming championships are scheduled for Saturday.
Hough's girls won the 4A West regional swimming title, while the Husky boys were second to lead Lake Norman area teams.
Lake Norman finished fourth in the boys' side, while the Lady Wildcats were fifth.
Hough's Peter Brumm (200-yard freestyle), Ally Dupay (200-yard individual medley, 100-yard breaststroke), Whitney Timberlake (1-meter diving), Charles Mitchell (1-yard diving), Emily Allen (100-yard freestyle), John Manchester (500-yard freestyle) and Heather Merritt (100-yard backstroke) all won regional titles.
Lake Norman's Logan Heck (50-, 100-yard freestyle) and Reed Wheeler (100-yard backstroke) also won events, as did North Mecklenburg's Molly Sanborn (5000-yard freestyle).

In just their third year as a team, the Southlake swim team swept the MAC Conference Meet on Saturday. The girls' team won by nine points while the boys' team won by 91 points, giving them a 100-point win in the combined category.
